You’ve danced, laughed, maybe even lost your voice a little. The lights are dimming, the music is slowing, and the night is wrapping up. But the journey home still matters and so does your safety.

That’s where the Event Besties come in. 💜

At Oontztopia, we’re always thinking about the full experience. Not just the fun, but also the moments in between, and especially the ones after. The Event Besties are our new on ground team dedicated to making sure you leave every Oontztopia event feeling seen, safe, and supported.

Think of them like your thoughtful older sibling or your always prepared best friend.

So what do Event Besties do, exactly?

• Help you find your Uber or ride when you're tired or tipsy.

• Check in with anyone who seems overwhelmed or unwell.

• Assist in locating your friends or belongings.

• Make sure no one leaves alone if they don't feel safe doing so.

• Just be that warm, non-judgy presence when you need someone to talk to .

They’re easy to spot with PINK REFLECTIVE VESTS.

Why we’re doing this

We’ve seen it too many times at other events, a great night undone by an unsafe ending. Whether it’s navigating transport, dealing with harassment, or just needing a quiet corner to gather yourself, we want to remove the shame, the awkwardness, and the risks.

The Event Besties are here to remind you that you’re not alone, not even in those small moments after the music stops.
